Smooth Jazz Discover #284 – New Releases, Great Artists & Fresh Smooth Jazz

Smooth Jazz Discover 284 hosted by Santiago Fontenla featuring new smooth jazz releases

Smooth Jazz Discover #284 arrives with another carefully selected collection of contemporary sounds, established artists, and exciting new releases that keep the spirit of international smooth jazz alive.

This edition opens with Justin Young and Caliente Y Suave, followed by the elegant sound of Jay Rowe with First Flight Out. Our musical journey then takes us to Les Sabler and Boomerang, followed by the irresistible groove of Agent Funk from Icelandic jazz-fusion pioneers Mezzoforte, and For Good Times from Threestyle.

The heart of the program brings together an outstanding combination of musicians and styles. Brian Bromberg and Everette Harp deliver Apparently Not!, while Paolo Rustichelli takes us into Neon Magic. We also feature Brian Tarquin & Asphalt Jungle with Midnite (Remastered), followed by the atmospheric PEACEFUL GARDEN from Djaxslondon.

The groove continues with Peace And Love by Walter Beasley & Tyrone Chase, and Vibe, an intriguing collaboration between Peter Cincotti and Chris Botti. From Italy comes Tokio Shine by Napoli Underground & Jo Paciello, while Ben Tankard adds his distinctive touch with Tall, Dark & Jazzy.

And there is still much more to discover. Lali P. teams up with Najee for Keep It Smooth, a title that perfectly captures the spirit of the show. Jayson Tipp, joined by legendary guitarist Grant Geissman, brings us Flying Home, a soulful, urban-inspired production with a sophisticated contemporary feel.

We also hear Better Days from Jon Gilutin, before closing this edition with Jhavali and Just The 2 Of Us, followed by Kerry Wilkins and Short Cut.
